Family Matters: Breaking Generational Curses was such an amazing stage play! The entire cast did a wonderful job bringing the story to life with the perfect mix of laughter, emotion, and real-life family situations. The message behind the play was powerful and definitely something many families can relate to.
Of course, I’m especially proud of my brother Lemark McPherson! Watching him on that stage doing what he loves and seeing his talent shine was such a proud-sister moment for me. He truly gave an incredible performance, and I loved every minute of it.
Congratulations to Lemark and the entire cast and crew of Family Matters: Breaking Generational Curses. You all put on a fantastic show! Proud sister over here!
Sitting through the play and feeling every emotion while also relating to the play was a reason why this play was so so good. The emotions, the dedication, the cast chemistry was just off the charts. I absolutely loved the play and would 100% sit through it again.
To start, this play was amazing yet triggering. There are a number of elements that hit home and each actor owned their roles. It's been a few years since I've been to a play that had me on the edge of my seat. Outside of this masterpiece lasting 4 hours, I appreciated the breakdown of the ugliness depicted within this family's dynamic. I can honestly relate to a few of the scenarios. Each character delivered a realism that trigger emotions I wasn't expecting. With that said, all that was covered on stage should be brought to a Netflix special with an in-depth look of Mama D, Diane and Melanie, Melanie our dear Melanie! back story!! Also, an independent movie depicting this family's dynamic would be amazing too. Overall, this play was great and I absolutely loved how each cast member showed their God given abilities on stage. Magnificent job!
The show was very exciting hitting all the major issues dealing with family’s. The only issue I had with the show it was to long over 4 hours, Broadway shows are not that long. It started at 6::20 pm I left at 10:10 pm before the end of the show.
The show was so riveting, and had us all at the edge of our seats! Thought provoking, at times controversial. But a lot of issues that needed to be brought to light. Loved every second of it!
This play definitely brought actual trauma to light not just one, many where in there in there own little way and how everything unfolded at the end and then God giving everybody forgiveness it was so beautiful
Words cannot explain the experience! This is one worth watching and it speaks much truth and promotes healing!
